Please remember that men as well as women can be represented by Queens in Tarot. Women can also be Kings, Knights and Pages. These are aspects of someone's personality and everyone has both passive and active, masculine and feminine within them.
Queen of Swords
Can be intellectual and cut off from her emotions. May like isolation and lots of space in a relationship. Could have a lot of baggage and be bitter about relationships. Can be cutting with words and patronising. Sees herself as intellectually superior, no time or patience for those less well educated or slower. May get married a lot, unable to settle. Deep seated fear of intimacy that means she plays out the same scenarios over again to avoid intimacy. May not enjoy sex and be asexual. Sees those who enjoy sex as somehow base or less than. Can be tactless, thoughtless and have a loose tongue. Can be judgemental and unforgiving. 'Tells it like it is' no matter who gets hurt. Has no shades of grey, something is either wrong or right, no nuance.
Queen of Pentacles
Could believe in traditional roles in a relationship and have well defined roles for women and men. May have relationships for status, networking, image, advantage. Very focused on relationships to the detriment of all else. Very independent happy to see relationships as compartmentalised. Doesn't mind having sex for money, being a mistress, having a sugar daddy. Can be selfish and self absorbed. May use others. Image at the expense of honesty. Could have OCD tendencies where a house is a show room rather than a home. May focus entirely on the children at the expense of the needs of others, including her own. Could have surgery to enhance looks, buy lots of new clothes, spars because what others think is very important. Focus on work to expense of all else. Can never have enough 'stuff'. May get into trouble through debt. Won't pay for heating in order to maintain an expensive car. Won't leave marriage because of status and what others might think. Children become extension of self. Gets stuck in a rut. Gym bunny or couch potato. Covetous and possessive. Never has enough, wants what others have including their partners.
Queen of Cups
Neuroticism. Addiction issues. Controls through enmeshment and emotional manipulation. Mood swings. Seems to have permanent PMT. People have to walk on eggshells and watch what they say because she's so 'sensitive'. Gives until there's nothing left. Doormat. Manipulates through tears. Can't see reality, preferring to believe what's in her heart rather than what's in front of her. Easily hurt. Everything is personal. Needy. Nostalgic to the point of hoarding. Is everyone's ear, the unpaid counsellor that people use without boundaries. Gets overly involved and enables bad behaviour. Can't say no. Never learns from her mistakes, taking back users and abusers time and again. Never wants to 'hurt' anyone. Lots of childhood baggage. Easily manipulated. Jealous and possessive. Prone to depression and anxiety. 'Highly strung'. Lives on her nerves. Crabby and snappy. Interfering. Can't let go. Has sex so that people like or love her. Low self esteem.
